Prince of Persia is one of the latest films from Disney. It’s about a Persian Prince (Jake Gyllenhaal) that has been set up for killing the king and his father. He manages to escape death with the princess of the city they had just conquered and a Mystical Dagger. The Dagger he carries has the power to control time, but only for one minute. The source of the daggers power is this special sand that has been blessed by the gods, and to use the dagger you must constantly refill it with this sand.

While on the run and hiding, the Prince must figure out who killed his father and why. Also, he learns that their recent invasion into a nearby city was done under false pretenses and who ever killed the King is also after the Dagger.

Overall, it’s a really good movie — lots of action and comedic relief. Good film to rent or own.

WALL-E is one of Disney’s 2008 films that kids all over the planet were waiting to be released – mainly because of the ton of advertising that preceded it. So did it work? Absolutely, WALL-E was a financial success story, as well as being a really solid film, both for kids and adults.

The story takes place in the future, long after humans have polluted the earth and left on a large ship. While the human continue to live a lazy life out in space, thousands of WALL-E robots have been left back on earth to clean up our mess. Only problem is, they have all broken and there is only one left.

After hundreds of years a spaceship shows up on Earth and brings another robot called EVE, she’s looking for any sign of life, besides WALL-E. When she discovers a plant, she shuts down and waits to be picked back up. In the mean time, WALL-E seems to fall in love with her. When the ship picking EVE arrives, WALL-E goes with her.

There’s a ton more to the story, with loads of warnings for the human race always working their way in, in the back drop.

Overall, the attention to detail and the story itself were really good and very entertaining.

This is the second film in the National Treasure series. There is currently a third in the works. It stars Nicolas Cage and Diane Kruger. The movies picks up with the Gates family investigating whether their family had anything to do with the assassination of President Lincoln and whether there is any truth to the secret stash of gold hidden by the confederacy. Like the first film, the clues take them all around the world and back to the oval office, where Gates has to find a way to talk with the President himself about a secret book that is passed from President to President.

The film is really good, with a lot of action, and suspense. We’re hoping the third installment will offer more of the same.

Bolt is a great Kids & Family film by Disney. The plot is about a dog that doesn’t know that week after week he is saving the life of a little girl on a TV show. He thinks he really does have powers and is a super hero.

One day, he thinks the little girl is kidnapped and in an attempt to save her, he gets crated up and shipped across the country. Lead by the idea that the little girl is in trouble, he is joined by a cat and a hamster, as they race across the country to find and save his friend.

The movie is hilarious, with some sad moments, especially with the homeless cat and when Bolt finally realizes, he is just another dog.

This is a great family film about a grumpy old man who ties thousands of balloons to his house and goes —UP. The film by Walt Disney is sure to become a family classic.

UP is a tale of an old man who flies away in his home, olny to discover that a little boy has come along for the ride. The adventure continues with them encountering strange new lands, loaded with lost of fun and comedy.

I wonder how Roger Ebert (my idol movie critic) would react to his own review of Cars after the film went on garnering awards. He said Cars was the least beautiful of John Lasseter’s earlier works, Toy Story and A Bug’s Life. I tend to disagree since there are lots of factors that make this movie beautiful. First, the computer filmmakers excruciatingly put the once-glorious Route 66 into detail. To make the movie a comic relief, they cast Owen Wilson. Also, this is the very first movie that I saw which featured cars in lieu of animals as a fable. Even cows were replaced by tractors. Also, I like Paul Newman’s voice performance in this movie. He had really perfected his role as Doc Hudson, the old wise racing car.

In 1998, A Bug’s Life was Disney’s November answer to the September release of Dreamworks Pictures, Antz. When Disney was still a separate entity from Pixar Animation Studios, the former contracted the latter to come up with another interesting CGI film, as follow up for Toy Story. Yes, Pixar was also the force behind Toy Story phenomenon, which practically started the whole CGI trend.

A Bug’s Life is a funny movie with interesting characters and heartwarming story, typical of a Disney movie. Watching this film will also make you appreciate the musical scoring and the amazing computer animation work of course.

It’s a movie for all ages. Kids will surely love to watch it many times over. By the way, Hayden Panettiere (Claire Bennet of Heroes) did the voice of DOT. Her voice must be something that grown-ups can look forward to hearing.

Just thinking of the action sequences in this computer-generated movie brings much grin, and I’m sure that a lot of people who have seen this movie can relate with me. John Lasseter, the director, truly presented cleverness.

This movie goes down in history as one of the best CGI films ever produced. The fusion of Pixar Animation and Disney proved to be a good move. Worldwide, this movie earned $358,100,000 worldwide. It’s time for you to get a taste of CGI greatness. Watch Toy Story, and see what goes on in the toy kingdom when the humans are not looking.
