Meet the Fockers is the 2004 follow up to Meet the Parents. It was also a huge financial success – just like the first one. Universal also appears the be hedging its bets on the upcoming sequel called Little Fockers, due out this year.

So Meet the Fockers, while still having the same cast as the hilarious first and it made a fist full of dollars for those that produced and distributed, wasn’t quite as good as the first one – which is typical, though it was very funny to see how the former CIA spy would react to a bunch of half crazed Fockers.

The thing that probably hurt the most about the film was watching the sexual content scene, starring middle aged people – really didn’t do it for me, regardless of how funny they were. There was something weird about that.

Overall, the film was still good and we’re anticipating the next one to come out. Kids and crazy antics are usually a great combination.

Forgetting Sarah Marshall is a 2008 comedy that can be watched again and again. Jason Segel originally wrote the script and has recently release Get him to the Greek as a follow up. Both films are equally funny and raunchy all at the same time. You’ll love it.

The film is about a composer, whose famous girlfriend breaks up with him for a rock star. Things get hilarious when he decides to visit Hawaii, hoping that the vacation will help get his mind off the woman he loved. When he gets there, the first person he runs into is his ex-girlfriend – Sarah Marshall.

Things begin to heat up between the composer and the girl that works at the hotel, only long enough, until we see everyone’s relationships begin to fall apart.

The film is completely hilarious. It is one of those pic me up films, even on one of your worst days.

The Informant is a 2009 film about Mark Whitacre (Matt Damon), who is helping the FBI catch senior level people at his company for price fixing. It’s an off beat comedy that has some really funny moments, if you pay close attention and watch the film. The story starts with an unexplained virus that keeps infecting their product at the corn company where he works. Whitacre ends up making up a story about a Japanese competitor that says they have a mole that is sabotaging their product and will only tell them who it is for 10 million dollars. The company decides to bring in the FBI to catch the mole, but since they are running a price fixing operation, Whitacre gets nervous and tells them the truth - or so you think.

Turns out the price fixing is real, only everything else Whitacre says isn’t, he’s a liar, thief, embezzler, and jeopardizes the DOJ’s entire case with his antics.

Overall, it’s a good movie and funny.

MacGruber is a 2010 film that was spun off from the funny skits that you see on SNL. It stars Will Forte, as a McGyver type, having been a Green Beret, Ranger, Special Forces, and received tons of medals. Now he has to save the world from a stolen nuclear weapon. After hiding out for ten years, his old commander (Rambo type) is sent to get him and get him on board with finding the weapon. Once he finds out who the thief is, MacGruber puts together a team to help him find and kill his sworn enemy.

Over all the film was funny, a lot of the scenes may have been just a little too long and a little too over the top, but for the most part it was really funny. Some of the best parts were when they parodies some films you may have seen in the past.

Four Christmas’s is a 2008 comedy starring Vince Vaughn and Reese Witherspoon. This is one of those comedy’s where almost all the jokes and punch lines are right on target. The movie is about a couple, who go on a vacation rather than visits their families every Christmas. The problem this time is that they are stopped at the airport by a news reporter and their families see them on the news trying to leave for vacation.

Once they’ve been outed, the families call, and they have to go visit them instead of their dream trip to Fiji. In a single day, they visit all four of their families. Along the way, the learn more about family, deal with past issues, and strengthen their own relationship as a couple.

While the film is set in the Christmas period, you can watch it any time of year. It’s a really funny film, that everyone will enjoy.

As Good as It Gets is a 1997 film, starring Helen Hunt and Jack Nicholson. Nicholson plays an OCD type writer who goes into the same restaurant and orders the same thing everyday. He eventually begins to fall for the waitress (Hunt). When he learns that she has a son, who is sick, and may have to leave her job – Nicholson sends a doctor friend over to her home to look at the boy. Though he likes Hunt, he tells her he did it so she wouldn’t quit her job.

At the same time, he’s having issues with his gay neighbor and his manager (Gooding Jr.). Towards the end, Hunt, Nicholson, and Greg Kinnear take a trip to visit Kinnear’s family (looking for money). This trip, while almost ripping them all apart, actually strengthens their bond as friends.

Overall, it was a great movie. A mix between comedy and drama, with hilarious moments on everyone’s part.

Bruce Almighty is a 2003 film, starring Jim Carrey. The film itself is hilarious and witty. It’s about Bruce Nolan (Carrey), a mediocre reporter, that finds himself taking God’s place and controlling everything in the universe. For Bruce, the more good he tries to do, both for himself and others, the more things go wrong, but in a very funny, funny way.

The movie has an all star cast, at the time some of them weren’t well known, but today, they’re all regular stars. Tis movie helped to make that happen.

It’s a great film to own and to watch – anytime.

The name says it all, Kick Ass, is a great, funny, adult film. Don’t want the kids to watch this one, but for adults – it’s really funny and loaded with a lot of surprises.

The film is about a high school nobody, who one day, has had enough of crime, being robbed, and watching people, watch him being victimized. So, he takes it upon himself to become a super hero. Only problem – he has no super powers – in fact, he ends up getting his ass kicked almost every time he tries to stop someone.

On the other side of town, other people are planning a revenge plot against the city drug leader – they too become super heroes.

Overall, the film is really funny – a great adult, comic book comedy.

Hot Tub Time Machine is a hilarious adult comedy that you’re gonna love. If you liked the films Old School, Van Wilder, anything with Chevy Chase, then you’re gonna laugh all the way to the end with this film.

It’s about 4 friends that return to a ski resort, where they had partied as young men. After checking into their room and having the repairman fix the hot tub, the 4 get in, and within a few moments are transported back in time to relive the party of their youth. The film is full of slapstick comedy and very funny moments. It is, however, for adults only – wouldn’t let the kids watch this one.

This is definitely a buy DVD when it hits the market.

Cop Out is a comedy about two cops trying to catch a murdering, drug dealing bad guy. On top of that, one of the cops (Willis), has a daughter that is getting married soon and he wants to pay for the wedding. Unfortunately for him, he doesn’t have the money, and decides to sell his valued baseball card. Only problem is, the card has been stolen.

Overall, the film wasn’t that good; a lot of the scenes were long and over drawn out, what started out funny, became stupid. I was really expecting more from a Kevin Smith film. This film will be a good rental, only if there is nothing else on the shelf.
