The Hurt Locker

This is a great film that is now available on DVD. If you get a chance to rent it, you should. It’s the story of an EOD Sergeant and his comrades as they deploy to Iraq after the invasion. It follows them as they all react differently to the war and emotions around them. It’s an action packed and emotional film.

This film has also been nominated for an Oscar award this year. It climb to success is something that doesn’t seem to happen all that often anymore. The film, made for a modest 11 million, shot in Jordan, just miles from Iraq, went through the festival circuit before being picked up by Summit Entertainment and given a proper theatrical release.
